TD5s are sensitive to overheating so make sure the cooling system is tip top. Regular oil changes every 5k miles will keep the TD5 engine running like a sewing machine. Other than that they are a good strong engine with oodles of potential in terms of tuning.

Document the problems with the car and any work that has been done on it since you’ve owned it and take them to JLR with a request that they advise you on what work they plan to do to fix the problems.
